Our Mission:  to unite the education community to improve our outstanding public education system, pre-K through higher education, to empower each Kansan to succeed in the diverse, interdependent world of the 21st century.

Meeting Location:  Kansas National Education Association building, 715 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, KS (2 blks west of the Capitol, across the street south of Topeka High.)

NOTE: See Sherry Reed prior to the start of the meeting & pay $9 per person for lunch.    

10:00 a.m. -- Opening information & Alliance items

  • Introductions and Member Organization Updates

10:25 a.m. -- Updates on KLFA work, business items

  • LFA and P21 partnership - pilot in Kansas

  • Bylaw proposed change for chair/chair elect nominees

10:35 a.m.  -- Panel discussion:  Kansas Educator Evaluation Protocol (KEEP)

  • Panelists include- Doug Moeckel (KASB), Bev Mortimer (USD 333 Superintendent piloting KEEP), Susan Helbert (KSDE), and Peg Dunlap (KNEA)

  • Moderator- Nancy Bolz

  • Time provided for presentation, directed questions, attendee Q & A

11:15 a.m.  -- Workgroup work time and working lunch

  • Watch for a workgroup agenda from each workgroup in February!

2:00 p.m.  -- Workgroup Reports & Closing
