Welcome and Announcements

Review Findings of Math Study

(Key findings from the CCSSO math survey released on the previous day will be shared.  They will also explain general uses for the information. )

Reflection and Feedback Regarding the Math Study Process

  • What did we learn from doing this process?

  • Does this process make sense for continued work? 

  • What can the Alliance do with this information?

  • Are there implications for schools in this information?

  • If so, how can we help them use it to make effective changes?

  • Will this information assist schools in meeting NCLB and the new QPA requirements?

Workgroups Meet Through Lunch

Student Achievement:

  • Plan next steps for using the math study information.

  • Consider funding sources..

  • Appoint volunteers for Fall Summit Planning Committee.

  • Consider updates to website.

Professional Development: 

  • Continue planning for use of Title II grant funding with KSDE:

  • Discuss connections with legislators about the importance of quality S.D. and changing legal language from “inservice” to “professional development”. 

  • Consider S.D. implications for the math study results. 

Public Engagement: 

  • Consider ways to engage constituent groups with math study results.

  • Update about Community Conversation presentations.

  • Appoint subcommittee to begin “Articles of Incorporation.”   

Reports From Workgroups:  Each workgroup will have 15 minutes to report
