partnership of 24 leading educational associations with

common mission: to unite the
education community to improve our outstanding public
education system, pre-K through higher education,
to empower each Kansan to succeed in the diverse,
interdependent world of the 21st century. |
The Alliance represents an
unprecedented, self-initiated commitment to this bold
mission. Our shared vision is challenging yet
realistic: an outstanding system of public
education that empowers each student to succeed in the 21st
century.

Student
Achievement - KLFA has done significant work
in the areas of reading and mathematics. Follow this

Professional Development - KLFA has
established rubrics for evaluating professional
development programs. In addition, we sponsored a
state-wide summit to allow school teams to evaluate
their school/district programs and to develop an

Public Engagement - KLFA has a cadre of
trained facilitators to conduct "Community
